Bosham Harbour Sunset

A stunner, your mark making is always spot on, never too much and never too little.

Lovely colours Mark.

Excellent Mark painted really well.

Lovely 😀

the unresolved impression of complexity on the wharfside works really well.

This is beautiful Mark!

I rather like it too : )

Great painting, love the busyness and highlights you've included.

William I love that phrase ‘unresolved impression of complexity,’ that is just what it is.

Thanks everyone for taking the time to write something, it really is appreciated.

A really nice watercolour Mark, and always a challenge with boats in the composition, this one works on all levels , I like this a lot .

Superb, love it.

Super work Mark. I think you've risen to the challenge admirably. Is that scratching out on the wharf side? it hints at the complexity wonderfully.

It’s all been said, absolutely brilliant

Lovely work once again Mark. That wedge shaped dark tone, arrowing in from the right makes a strong contrast to the lighter sky and water and the sailing boat is nicely counterchanged against the harbour wall.

An impressive watercolour.

Well done - difficult Subject-works really well.

Excellent

I Know this place well ! Excellent.

Very effective

I find sunsets a challenge in watercolour getting the intensity of colour and the glow. I had been plein air painting in Bosham, Sussex and photographed this sunset as I was packing up. Had a go in the studio and rather like it.
