Love the greens in the one on the left. Clever stuff!

I’m really enjoying painting these small pieces….very relaxing.

You have really caught the effect of the shell structure Marjorie, and the black sets them off so well.

Lovely colours in these!

Thanks both - I do love shells ! The tiny ones on the right are only washed up after particular tides, little pearlised things, beautiful. The abalone ( bought, not local ) has beautiful pearlised colours. I was reading recently about the shells collected by Capt Cooke….I have several that he collected, bought not found but still exciting to have.

Th are lovely! I have a collection, that I have found on various beach. I keep them in a little space in the garden.

Beautiful shell on the left. A real luminous quality to it.

Thanks Linda and Christine - the abalone on the left has some lovely green pearlescent colours.

Excellent clarity. Reminds me of Julie Beck's and Paul Beckingham's work.

Thanks Owen - never heard of those two artists before, will look them up.

Two lovely pieces work, Marjorie. You have captured the essence of mother of pearl, a beautiful symbol of femininity.

Lovely little gems. You’ve captured the textures and colours so well

Jewel like Marjorie….love the one on the left. Funny how we treasure these wonderful gifts from nature. I can’t resist picking up fossils!

Love how you’ve captured the pearlessence of the shells Marjorie. A lovely collection to have.

Lovely little Jewell's Marjorie.

Carol, Coral, Heather, Martin, Fiona, Carole and Sylvia - thanks for the comments….I’ve got many more shells to paint!

Beautiful colours on the shell.
