You have captured the light beautifully Marjorie.

A beautiful painting Marjorie, the light reflections on the sea are superb.

It’s a lovely coordinated palette Marjorie… everything gels together superbly…

Wonderful light on the sea Marjorie. I’m assuming this was just coast without the buildings from what you say? That’s what you’re supposed to call progress! 😉 I like the foreground very much.

Tessa, a working class fishing port, still operating as such but Nordic style appartments and many more places to eat…..popular now for holidays.

Superbly captured Marjorie.

Love the fore and mid ground. Buildings are spoiling my distant view 🤫

Superb, your capturing of light is amazing

Beautiful painting, Marjorie, with stunning light an the sea.

The colours and reflections are excellent.

Romila, that’s a brilliant comment - made me laugh out loud😆 Thanks also John, Paul, Alan, Tessa, Chris, Heather, Cesare and Stephen.

Interesting to see what’s going on in Amble Marjorie. Haven’t been in Amble for a while.i like your subtle palette and your tonal values.

Beautiful light on the water.

Lovely. Reminds me of the smoking huts at Hastings beach. Although they are much smaller 🤔

I agree, beautiful painting !!

Beautiful light on the water, and I like the limited palette - and the way you’ve painted the foreground grasses/flowers.

I love the palette Marjorie and the light is fantastic!

Wonderful palette Marjorie. Foreground is fabulous and the light scattered across the water is beguiling.

Beautiful painting, what I especially like is the way you paint light sparkling on water.

You are so good at portraying light on water Marjorie!

Ditto with the light. Could be Grimsby. Well done

Thanks everyone, I appreciate all your comments.

Oil on board. New buildings are going up in the coastal town of Amble. Everything is changing.
