Washing day, Bathsheba, for Ellen

Washing day, Bathsheba, for Ellen

OOgles of colour Marjorie. Which reminds me mine is still on the line.

I can feel the warm breeze! Lovely.

What a lovely pastel Marjorie. I love the red. I can't believe we've both painted the same scene. I finished mine off this afternoon at my art group. Bathsheba is beautiful though, and I'd go as far as to say unique.

Very nice Marjorie lovely colours and trees

I like the warmth of colours and the freedom with which you have used the pastels.

Wonderful pastel, Marjorie, and smashing colours and light too.

Beautiful painting, I especially love the colours in the foreground.

A good blowy scene with a warm feeling!

Love it. Must hunt out mine of the same subject . Only mine was Antigua.

Thanks for all the comments folks. Ellen started all this off! Yes Sylvia, hunt it out!

What a place to wash Marjorie wonderful

This is a beauty Marjorie, it's amazing that both you and Ellen have painted an almost identical scene.

Wonderful use of pastels Marjorie, so colourful and full of light.

Lots of interesting things going on in this painting, Marjorie - I love the wind and the shade...

A wonderful palette, and a lovely, breezy immediacy to the piece. Beautifully done, Marjorie!

Hang on Studio Wall

Done after a visit to Barbados. Using red paper to complement the greens. Ellen has obviously been to the same place!
