Daily painting

Impressive Marjorie to finish this in one session. Well done!

Wow incredible 👏

That is really good!

You have achieved super detail in one session Marjorie and a really good choice of subject.

Like how you have done this Marjorie and a really good job in such a short time .

Wow, that’s some going and a super painting.

Superb painting

Onions prevail today. Lovely for such a small painting. Well done!

Excellent work, more so for the small size.

Super still-life painted of these onions with mesh. The textures look terrific and so fine how the mesh appears light over the solid onions.... it looks fabulous Marjory!

Very well done Marjorie. I did get the daily painting book you recommended before Christmas and was enjoying it, but got disturbed for the holiday break- must get back to it! It’s certainly a good idea, though I suspect you find 6x6 very different to your usual size!?

Thanks for the comments everyone - Tessa, yes, it’s a different experience painting small but interesting and quite satisfying, doing a mini painting.😄

Excellent, so small and so well done. I think you have handled the mesh really well

Lovely onions, Marjorie. Beautifully painted.

Thanks, Heather and Bob.

Well done I the short time Marjorie I love how you managed the netting.

Like this Margorie.

I like this Marjorie, a well met challenge.

The net and light on the onions are really good. Thoroughly enjoyed the session you organised!

Thanks, Carole, Shaun and Fiona - I had to do something with these onions, they’re beginning to sprout! There’s always something left unused, it used to be an aubergine in the fridge.

Thanks, Janet! I liked the texture on yours.

Lovely detail- fabulous colour and looks delicious Marjorie!!

I think they might end up in the compost, Shaun😆😆 - thanks for the comment.

Very good - and I fancy using some red onions for dinner!

That’s an extremely small size painting, Marjorie. Incredible to finish in one go.

Thanks, Gudrun and Ellen!

Hang on Studio Wall

Oil on gessoed card, 6”x6”. A daily painting at our club on Monday. It’s not as easy as you think, 6”x6”, the choice of the subject ( an everyday object), the placing of the subject, the idea being to finish in one session. It was absorbing and enjoyable - I think everyone felt that.
