An Indian Lady with Aphasia Inspired by the impairment of Aphasia after a stroke. The Lady is making direct eye contact with the viewer, because she is speechless, giving a powerful sense of character and immediacy, as if you have disturbed her. The skin is painted in warm tones. The canvas is roughly rendered with all brushwork showing. This piece is designed to Interrogate the inner-workings of the mind and induce the viewer inward towards feelings rather than intellect.
