Margaret, I'm not a painter of flowers and wouldn't know were to start giving you advise. All I can say is that this painting really appeals to me; I love the faded appearance on the left hand side and the way it melts into the background colour.

OIl on board340 x 400I first started painting this piece 2 years ago at a one day painting class with Lesley Charnook and hated the colours. I wanted to mute down the colours with just a few highlights. I am still not too sure if the highlights are right.....any comments or advice is welcome.
