Hello margret, this is a really nice watercolour.. love the way you have done the rocks in the foreground....and pebbles on the beach. you could perhaps glaze over the picture with a hint of raw sienna....as its a sunny day it would just give the painting a bit of unity and warmth. apart from thay its a really nice painting.... well done . like the colours in your other one too. thankyou for comments on my work.... and as for fareys....thought i just saw one peeking out from behind the rocks... lol. of course i belive in fareys.... i see them often... and so do you or you wouldn't keep painting them!!! they chose you to paint them so they never get forgotten! as they are magical wee creatures. regards irene.

Hi Margaret, many thanks for your comments. This is a lovely watercolour especially the beach and rocks, the only thing is maybe too many hard edges on your clouds. I don't do many watercolour landscapes beacause I'm not very good at them but I find the easiest way of doing skys with white fluffy clouds is to wash over all of the sky and then dab out the cloud forms with tissue or kitchen paper, this gives them a more uneven look. Hope this helps, regards Val.PS. Forgot to mention your dry brush work on the sea , excellent!

love the shimmer on the water.................how do you do that effect..........??? hope you don't mind me asking

Well done Margaret. Like Val says you could dot your clouds out with paper. Or let the sky just run wet into wet. Your sea and rocks are really well done.

Hi Margaret, I like this seascape and your fairies, and I hope you didn't take offence at my little joke about Spock!! Many thanks for your comments on my gallery. Norman.

Hi margret, thankyou for comments on picture. re answer to your question about keeping the sparkle on the water!...you can do what the other good folk on here have sugested and blot with tissue just on that part of the water. by a glaze ... yes i did mean a very thin watery wash of colour...you can allways blot off where you don't want it. just another wee tip... never use any other yellow but raw sienna asits the only colour to wash over blue ... that wont turn it green. regards irene.

Just a thought Margaret... put some of your great line work in these and they the will have more ooooooomph than you can imagine.

First thank you Margaret for your comments on my gallery. I like how you have created the glistening on the water & the texture of the rocks, as for the clouds perhaps wet in wet would be better.
