This painting is of an ancient tower that monks in Ireland used as refuge from marauding vikings and other generally nasty people. I found this one while traveling some of the more rural areas, the church was a ruin but the graveyard was still used for burials by the locals. When I first saw it I thought I had a sight problem, but a read up about it and it does actually have a definite lean out of the vertical of so many degrees. The monks use to get in via a rope ladder to the first dar entry you can see on the front and then pull up the ladder, there is no space between the stones for finger holds it is so well built.
