Magnificent Malcolm, puts my little effort in to context. Isn't it funny how being in the same place as something as old and raw as these portal tombs can inject the observer with a sense of atmosphere, which manifests itself on paper. Love the moody sky.

Thank you so much Fiona, but it is unfair to make comparisons, mine is a full painting yours is what I think is a brilliant pen and wash. And you are so right about drawing feelings from places, I always got that on the high mountain tops especially at dawn.

Yes you were right Fiona I have seen a few rock structures on my travels and this was one notable one in Ireland, a magnifisant portal tomb out on the Burren. When the Archeologists dug this they found the remains of 22 people intered within it., it is from the Megalithic era, quite an atmospheric place place to be, I was lucky I got there just before a lot of people arrived so got a true feeling of the place.
