This is a partially frozen water fall on the Ruapehu/Tongariro volcanic plateau. Painted without a drawn base other than usingg white oil pastel to define the water.Brushed on prepared WC washes and then started picking out and emphasising areas to develop the subject. Jury still out as to whether it has worked to the degree I wanted - but I did have fun and that is what it is all about for me.
