You've caught you topic well Mike. A real sense of man's minuteness against nature. Nice work.

Vast open space! Like this very much Mike, especially the palette......limited!

Thanks Jim & Fiona. For my forties , I actually did this sort of physical exercise up to marathon participation - then common sense finally kicked in and I used a car.. My water colour palette has 3 "reds" , 4 yellows, and three blues but I never use all of those within a painting. In this one I made use of granulating pigments - raw & burnt sienna, cobalt blue deep plus aureolin and Windsor blue (red). reserved the foam with white oil pastel and the runner with latex and made an overall under wash with aureolin plus a touch of raw sienna. The lower clouds were taken out with tissue paper

Thanks for the info about your palette Mike, my own is the same, just three of each of blue, red and yellow. Any more than that I get confused! Lol I admire your running abilities......I couldn’t run a bath to be honest! I was more into squash, badminton and table tennis. I still play a lot of table tennis, pretty mean too!

That's so good Mike, I love your sky.

Really good, mike!

Wonderful open space Mike and the lone figure just makes it.

saw this on the beach up north and it seemed a good subject for a painting. Obviously there was one other on the beach at that time !!!
