This is in Mount Aspiring National park, I spent a week here with a son-in-law who was participating in the National Sheep dog trials so had time to spare for looking. It is close by Wanaka nestling against a lake of the same name. It is in the south and west of the South Island , close by the route to the West Coast via the Haast pass.. It has many moods and much scenery for a painter. My sketch book was well used and my camera ran hot.
