Spring Cottage

Another beautiful landscape Lynne. The foreground is really lovely, loosely painted and the colours are amazing, and I think you need the detail around the cottage - you seem to have the best of both worlds here!

There is no rule that says you have to paint loosely - don't fight your own instincts. This is a wonderful painting, by the way.

Must have missed this earlier, I think this works very well. We all have different styles and I like the way you paint with some deail but not too much. As Robert has said you should paint 'your way' and the general public do like to see some detail in a picture.
