Just browsed your portfolio, seems you had a huge break since posting. I admire your clouds, am working on a correspondence course and struggling to get the cloud effect to my satisfaction. Have learnt the art of un painting rather too well!

Thanks everyone. I paint in most mediums but am really at home with pastel. It's great for clouds, sea etc and you can get great colours and effects. Elizabeth, there was a break because I was really busy but now hope to show a bit more.

We have some amazing Autumn skies in Fife and this was one of last year's best. Pastel is a great medium to work in for me as I can get what I want down quickly using as much texture as I need. It was important to get the balance of the sky right against the strong yellow of the field. At the time the sky directly above me was bright blue!!
