Wooden Poppies
This was the first time I had tried painting on wood (in this case a small piece of solid oak) and since then I have done several - it's a great surface to use. The freeness of this subject matter and the different colour used for the poppies really made it a delight to paint. I love it that much - I've attached legs to it, covered it with a glass top and converted it into a small table.
