This painting was inspired from 'a glove' exhibiting at The V&A, owned by a British Burlesque Skirt Dancer and actress in the Victorian era, called Kate Vaughan (Catherine Alice Candelin, 1852-1903). It's amazing what takes your fancy to pick up the brush and paint - who'da thought it would be a long elegant glove.
