This is excellent Shelagh - I really like your use of black velour paper and the simple use of limited pastels to highlight key areas is really dramatic. Well done!

One of my early attempts at drawing with pastels and this is on velour paper which gives that tactile side and works great when drawing fur. Although not much is shown here, but I love the simplicity of the limited lines and palette to demonstrate this majestic animal in the dark.
