The Upsidedown Tree
I believe the Baobab Tree is as deep (in its roots) as it is high - wow!. The silhouette was firstly painted with Indian ink and once dried, I was able to paint over the image with watercolour knowing it would be safe, which was much harder than creating the overall composition! It looked interesting before the colour and I was really torn as to whether to continue at that stage, but I'm glad I did as it enhanced the simple silhouette effect.
