Once again - masterful use of colour, shapes and design. There is so much to look at and your eyes roves around the painting taking in all the delightful details. Another super piece of work.

Beautiful painting, I love the colours, I agree with Thea super piece of work

Wonderful. So much to discover.

Many thanks Kay, Thea, Petra and Avril. It's not the best of photos, the buildings especially the church isn't as wobbly in real life! I'm not much of a photographer :)

Another special from your supurb stable - keep posting

Another gorgeous piece. Agree with Avril - there's always so much in your paintings to hold the viewer's attention, and all for the right reasons!

Yet another unique, stunning work.

Many thanks Michael, Seok and James!

Totally fabulous :)

I never get bored looking at your paintings Louise, there is always something to see no matter how many times I look at it.

Thank you Sarah and Fiona!

Such striking colours, love this.

A stunning painting. Such lovely use of colours and shapes.

I have been waiting for these houses to come back and there they are, stunning as always!

Many thanks Carole, Jan, Satu and Lesley!

Hi Louise, I am mulling over the idea of a painting which will end up looking like a collaboration of different artists contributing to a single painting. It is also an exercise in negative painting, so the bits I don’t paint are more important than the parts I do. (I know it sounds like a mess!). I want to include some painting styles that are very different from mine and that leads me to people like yourself who’s style is very individual and recognisable. I don’t want to copy any of your paintings, but I would like to paint a small section of my painting in a style reminiscent of yours. Is that OK with you? (I will post it on here if it works out OK). Kind regards.

Thanks for your reply Louise. The painting won't be for sale, but I want to enter it into an SAA competition. If it were to win a prize, it would be exhibited on SAA website. Not sure if this is what you meant by it being exhibited? I was thinking of painting roughly ten small sections which when arranged on the paper will reveal the theme of the painting as white paper. I want to paint one section in a style similar to yours because (apart from being colourful and attractive) it would allow me to create the shape I need. Does this make it any more or less acceptable to you? Kind regards.

OK Louise, I shall respect your decision.
