Oh, thank you Val! I'd actually posted another version of this earlier today, realized immediately that it looked unfinished and quickly deleted it. It always surprises me how faults with a painting are obvious on screen. I added more detail, thought perhaps that I'd overdone it and am now reassured by your comment, especially by the word 'wow' LOL. Thank you, I appreciate your words!

It's definitely like looking deep into a wild hedgerow- I am almost expecting to see a bird's nest in the depth of it. Lovely painting and I bet it is impressive when you see it full size. Super choice of colours as well.

Thanks Thea! Now I've spotted what looks like a small brown bird top right....They'll be a nest in there somewhere. LOL
