If one has to compare, I also prefer this one. Feels more "open" somehow. However, the other one is also good.

Now that threw me! I was just trying to catch up on the gallery and saw this painting and realised that it was next to another very similar one - similar, but different. The other one you did has the look of being a sunny and bright day, but this one feels as if it shows a duller overcast day - very clever to convey that just by use of colour. It's a great scene and the people really make it, especially the lady in bright red. This portfolio of Manchester scenes is growing by the day and as you settle into the style, they get better and better.

Another lovely piece - I love the way the lines ramble over the painting. They add a lot of life to the painting.
