A new colour scheme too, a lovely job you made of it Louise.

Totally new colour scheme! Your unerring sense of colour has put together the lovely turquoise and the zingy yellow making the painting very eye catching. I do like all the textures in the foreground which have obviously been the result of all your inventive use of other ways of applying the paint from just a brush. Once again, such a strong design sense comes through with the horizontal lines being balanced by the verticals. I agree with Carole - you have made a lovely job of changing this painting to one you are happy with. Well done you - I am so lazy about these things that I would just have binned what didn't work out but I can see that with good artistic sense, you can turn a painting around to produce something to be proud of.

You are never boring are you? I like this alot. Perfect :) Glad that white pen is still getting some use. I'm on my third one now :) All the best.

I love the shapes..very organic and beautiful colours...

Thanks all, I appreciate your comments, especially such as these ! I always stretch my paper but this one had been removed from the board some time a go. After all the repainting, dabbing and daubing the paper cockled badly. I re wet the back of it and placed overnight under a heavy pile of books and boards. This did the trick. Flat as a pancake this morning :)

Agree with everyone - this unusual color scheme works fabulously, and I love the contrast of the detailed foreground with the larger shapes in the middle - great stuff!

Very striking colours and a fine addition to your delightful gallery.

Love your colour change Louise and your re-worked foreground is excellent.

Thank you Seok, Val and Fiona!

watercolour 16 cm x 31 cm. This is actually a re worked version of an older painting of mine which I was never happy with. With the aid of masking fluid, cling film and the torn edge of a washing up sponge I set about totally changing the foreground and this is the result!
