This is beautiful Louise, I love the colours and your distinctive composition

It's more than OK, Louise! The detail is amazing, and the colors are lovely. Sorry to have missed out on your paintings for a while. I have been away on vacation and it was frenetic during Christmas. Please bear with me as I catch up slowly on all your postings.

Another glorious celebration of colour and design! You have developed a unique style that is always a pleasure to see here at PonL. Well done, Louise.

Lovely softening of colour in the distance and strength in the foreground. There is so much work in this painting I wonder how long it took to paint? Beautiful!

Many thanks Petra, Seok, Lionel and Lesley. This one was quite a struggle but it taught me not to give up on a painting! I kept adding more and more detail and the whole painting process became quite stressful. It's quite large and I was frightened of spoiling it! I am actually rather pleased with how it all worked out in the end! Lesley, I honestly can't say how long it took but it felt like a long time :)

Lovely palette Louise, I like the dark band of colour in the sky which picks up the dark spaces in the mid and foreground detail. It's glorious Louise!!

I really like this, it keeps the eye moving around the painting while still allowing the eye to rest in the less busy areas, and the colour scheme is lovely too.

You did well in covering where it went wrong Louise, looks good to me, best wishes for the coming year.

Many thanks Fiona, Allyson and William.

So much interest and so well painted. A great assition to your gallery

This is again a beautiful "Louise"-painting! Delicate, subtle colours in this: stunning work! I love it!

Many thanks Michael and Mia!

Really like the softer colours echoing the foreground colours Louise.

Thanks Kirstie and Carole. Kirstie, I've just realized that although I've changed the month to January it's still 2011 according to the heading here :) Hardly surprising, I'm not even sure what day it is :)

The greys and pinks are utterly delicious together. A much more 'pretty' and muted painting than your usual more vibrant style and it works equally as well. It reminds me of a patchwork quilt or patchwork with appliqued flowers. A great painting and if you do send it to your gallery, I am sure the first person to see it will want to buy it. Really well done.

Don't know if you've given this one a title yet but the colours are so like those in the beautiful 'Sunrise' this morning.... :)

Thanks Thea and thank you again Lesley! 'Sunrise' it is :)

A lovely, delicate combination of black and white and colours! Well done again Louise!

Happy New Year Louise. I like this picture as the colours are delicate and your unique style is enchanting :)

watercolour 38 cm x 54 cm. As is usually the case with my watercolours, this one very nearly went wrong! After lots of re working and many changes it eventually turned out ok!
