No at all bad for 10 mins. It can be very instructive to see how quick you can do somthing

I am sure this gave you a lot of pleasure, and yes, it made me smile, Louise.

I made me smile too, well done Louise

Like this one ,it made me smile also .(what you see is what you get)

Great and funny Louise !

Well, itcertainly looks like a chicken Louise, so that must be a good sign :0)

Many thanks all of you! She was just a bit of fun. I won't be painting any abstract versions :)

I have been having a chicken drama all week with some of my daughter's senior chickens all sick with some mystery illness and both her and me nursing them (not easy!). Having stared at poorly chickens for days it was a lovely light relief to see this cheerful and obviously very healthy chicken pop up on my screen. You've done a great job, Louise, of capturing the shape, look and attitude of a chicken. This one looks a bit feisty and full of character. Brilliant work for a 10 minute painting. I would have been still staring at the paper wondering where to start!

Ten minutes?! I only just managed 30 minutes! I don't think I'll join in on this challenge Louise, I would fail miserably, unlike yourself. She's a great 10 minute study and she's definitely a chicken.....well done.

Being currently in charge of the kitchen I am doing chicken today for lunch but I suspect only 10 minutes will resullt in poorly tummies which will not be anywhere near as much fun as this great little serving.

I agree with all the other comments, for a 10 minute chicken it is a great study, I will not be attempting a 10 min challenge either, wouldn't know where to start!

Well done Louise, she looks like she was a lot of fun to paint!

A super piece, Louise! I could actually see this as a motif in one of your fabrics!

Salmonella! Onions, or steak, you can do for 10 minutes; chicken - no. Very low on inspiration at the moment, but I will try this 30 minute challenge; NOT, however, 10 minutes; not when it takes that long for one of my washes to dry. Might be fun though, come to think of it.... I congratulate you on your courage in showing it, but I don't think you'll be entering it into an exhibition of your finest work .... You need contemplation, due process, time to accomplish your best; I've seen worse, mind......... won't say where and when, or I'll get into trouble (again...).

Actually - he's/she's a slightly Hitlerian chicken; there's a nasty gleam in that eye .... Tomorrow, der Verldtdtdt!!!

Thanks Glennis, Debs, Seok and Robert. Robert, her name is Hitleria !! ...Never mind letting your washes dry, you're full of excuses, just get on with it :)

Just brilliant, I love the way her feet are firmly planted. Just wonder what she is crowing about!.
