An intricate painting, Louise, and the more I look at it the more I see in it. I can well understand that it took the time it did. Lovely!

I knew you would do it and it is absolutely superb!!!!! Rich patterns, lovely colours and it works!!

You're on a roll with this Louise, they're marvellous!

Many thanks Jane, Satu and Lesley. Actually, this won't be the finished version. It's quite small, 12 x 9 inches, and painted in my sketch book. For me, this is still at the 'sketch' stage especially as I didn't stretch the paper and it's cockled badly. I can see some changes that I need to make (the top of the vase doesn't quite work) and I want to go large scale as I did with the previous one. Thanks to your encouraging comments, I'll take it further. After I've had a break that is :)

this is stunning Louise, i love it

Very interesting variation on your series of painting exploring this subject. This one is more abstract with lovely contrasts between the turquoise shades and the purples. I do like the way you have arranged the objects to inter-twine with each other as this produces a cohesive look. Really well done for this quality of this work and also for having the focus to produce several views of the subject.

Can't wait to see the next stage Louise, if this is a practise run it's going to be something else!! Again I love the richness of the colours and the variation of blues.

I agree with all thats been - next title 'Lets Twist Again' ?

Thanks Fiona and Michael! Michael, that's brilliant and made me laugh! Now I'll definitely have to do another version :)

I too am looking forward to the finished version - Love the colours you have used and the arrangement of the objects make a lovely painting

Wow, Louise, this is a beautiful development of style, from "realisme" to "abstract". Very original! I agree with Glennis: what is the next step?

Very well 'put together' in this colourful abstract Louise.

I love the bright colours you have chosen, and the slightly abstracted nature - a lovely painting with echoes of Shirley Trevena's work. Well done Louise.

Nice to see how each of these paintings evolve from the previous one and I can't wait to see a bigger modified version of this one. Thanks for your comment on Wind Flowers and I answered your question there.X

Many thanks Mia, Carole, Julie and Val!

I'm really enjoying your recent experimentations, Louise. This is one of your best, I think. Super composition, great shapes and designs and a gorgeous palette.

My goodness! What will you come up with next ! :)

Following on from the sketch that posted the other day, this is my abstract version! It took a lot longer than 30 mins, more like 3 hours! Thanks to Fiona for coming up with the title. :)
