Great evocative image in which the significance of the path adds that touch of mystery about who is coming home and what has happened to them before. I feel this is what a good painting is all about - making the viewer engage with it and this one does that very elegantly. Beautiful colours that sing together as well. A goodie, Louise!

Ooohh ,I love this image. Is is a lovely design with beautiful delicate colors. I agree with the above comment - the viewer is led into the picture and wants to linger on that scene

Thea has has made good points which I agree with.I would be interested to know the name of the predominant foliage in the foreground?I dont know much about plants and shrubs, so it may well be obvious to most.Lovely picture.

Thanks Thea, Jane and David! David, the whole picture is imaginary as I'm afraid the plants are! They do look a little like ferns though which is what I suppose I had in mind when I painted them. Imaginary ferns that is (lol)

Wow, Louise, this is so light and colourful! I like it very much, well done!

Love the colours in this one. I like the mystery of it too. :)

Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous!!! Louise, your paintings just get better and better. Love the colours.

Many thanks Mia, Sarah and Fiona!
