A Clever Watercolour Louise! how the heck do you do that??? masking tape???

Wonderful colors and great use of shapes and negative spaces. Lovely.

Awww where's the moon stamp!! Love the format you have here.

James ! Masking tape?, No way !! But I do like that word "clever" :) Seok, many thanks.

What a lovely painting ,great composition and colour

Love the colours and the way you have got recession even in a semi abstract. Great. jx

You always manage to come up with such interesting and eyecatching designs in glorious colour.

wonderful watercolour, very creative. I looked for LouiseNaiman's work but was not able to find it, would you please send me a link. Thanks.

Lovely rolling feel to this painting, love your use of colour.

Thank you all for your comments. I appreciate them.

Thanks Kirstie, I'm not exactly sure either. They sometimes seem to evolve :)

This reminds me of one of those big feather quilts on a wrought iron bed. I want one!! Lovely billowing design, Louse. Great colours as usual and strong design element. I am missing the moon in the dip between the two hills though - think that would be the finishing touch. I like the foregound flowers on the right - they add a certain something to the whole work.

Thea is right, it reminds me of a patchwork quilt stuffed with feathers!! I love your use of colour, it always looks just right....lovely.

Thanks Thea and Fiona. Thea, the foreground flowers are my favourite part of the painting too ! There wasn't really much room for a moon here :}

Wondrous, Louise - another jewel-like painting in your great gallery

What a wonderful word wondrous is! Thanks Harry. Also, I'm thrilled today because I've just had a painting accepted in the Chester Grosvenor Museum's open art exhibition ! A first for me !:)

Many, many congrats, Louise. What a wonderful endorsement of your super work and well deserved too. Which painting has been accepted?

Thanks Thea, you're very kind. I am delighted ! It's one of my patchwork effect scenes called "village in summer", not a very imaginative name I know but I always think the painting is more important than a name. We should hear any day now the results of Terry&Fiona. Looking forward to seeing that!

Terry and Fiona - never want to hear those names again as long as i live..... Now then: I saw a Welsh (I think) painter's work a few days ago which SOMEWHAT resembled yours, particularly in the tree forms - if I can find it again, I'll send you a link. He uses much more earth colour than you, ie doesn't have the same range of bright colour - wonder if you know whom I mean? Another very impressive and colourful painting.

Robert, when I mentioned " their " names I actually thought of you and nearly joked with Thea that I'm waiting with interest to see Robert Jones' reaction to the results. You appeared from nowhere! Nice to hear from you! I don't know the Welsh painter that you're thinking of, he's obviously seen my tree forms !:} Also, looking forward to the next competition here so I can bully you into entering again !!!

PS thanks for kind words about this painting!

Louise I love this work and all other paintings in your portfolio! I thank you for posting on my blog. x

I think the Welsh painter that Robert mentioned could be Michael Morgen.He exhibits with the RWS.I have really enjoyed looking through your portfolio,your work is so interesting.

thanks Teresa. Someone else here mentioned Micheal Morgen's work. As he exhibits with the RWS I'll take that as a huge compliment.! I can only dream !:}

Congratulations on your top ten gallery listing Louise, well deserved, you all are very consistent in the quality of your paintings and are always a pleasure to see, I hope to be back posting again soon maybe in june, well done again.: )

Well done you for getting into the Top Ten - I can see exactly why, as all your paintings are a joy to see and are obviously appreciated by a wide audience. P.S. I am off on my hols for a week, so if you post anything, I am not ignoring you. I have no internet connection where I am going to be staying.

So good to see this marvellous painting on the top tens, love it!

Louise, congratulations on being in the top ten, again. I have said many times that your paintings are so unique and beautiful, and really deserve the recognition.

THE JOY,OF COLOUR AND IMAGINATION ,LOOKING BEYOND THE OBVIOUS, AFTER MY OWN HEART , MAGNIFICENT PIECE OF WORK LOUISE

Thank you David. This was painted some years ago and your words have encouraged me to paint again in a similar style. This afternoon even, while I'm keen :) (I needed a push as I haven't been that inspired to paint recently and you kind words might just be that 'push' I needed!) Thanks again..
