Many thanks Carole, Shirley, Paul, Fiona and Mia. It seems to have quietened down now here. Fireworks are so loud these days. Hopefully they'll start making silent or quieter ones but that's just my opinion!

Thanks Thalia and Lewis. Maybe some more tonight though Lewis? I remember the days when we all had small bonfires in our gardens which we struggled to light, sparklers etc and maybe a couple of small rockets which usually fizzled out quickly! Today it seems to be large organised events with huge rockets which we can see from miles away. Quite spectacular to see and at least it isn't foggy this morning as used to happen :)

Wonderful! Fireworks today are a long way from the Catherine wheels, jumping jacks and Roman candles I remember from my childhood and as you say so noisy, but very spectacular. The girls obviously enjoyed them!
