I love your work in this style Louise. I think it's wonderfully imaginative, and I wouldn't have an idea how to make such and image.

It does remind me of some of Paul Klee's work Louise. Like this very much.

Just looked at Klee again - "Hamamet", "Castle and Sun" , the other N. African ones - this one could def fit in there.

Just wonderful Louise. Love the rich darks then the bright colours of the lighted buildings.

It's lovely Louise, great colour palette 😃

Its all in one word, Brilliant Louise.

Thank you Lewis, Marjorie, Sandra, Linda and John for your lovely comments. This was yet another one that had been languishing in the painting drawer. The sky was originally just a plain almost black colour so I washed it off and added more tree shapes and faint red house shapes. Also, the whole thing was washed over with a pink colour and out came my crumpled cling film. It was a case of having nothing to lose and fortunately it all ended up ok. Marjorie, that's a real compliment and after looking at them, I can sort of see what you mean. I bet he didn't ever resort to the cling film though..lol.

I really love this, Louise.

Thanks Gudrun and Shirley :)

It's a fabulously creative piece Louise, I love this style.

This is fab. Love it!

Totally excellent Louise

A real white wall contender Louise. Stands out. Nice work.

Loved looking into this intriguing work. Love the palette, Louise

Again a beautiful, typical 'Louise' painting. Love the subject and the lovely bright colours, Louise.

Many thanks Alan, Sarah, Dennis, Jim, Thalia and Mia :)

Great style I always like these Louise, brill colours too.

Thank you Carole and Val :)

A trip back to earlier style ,but it's terrific.

The old Louise is back- love it!

Thanks Andre and Malcolm. Not that old Malcolm..lol

Stunning work Louise, love it

Coo - love it; strong, and complex at the same time - whereas complexity can sometimes confuse and lessen impact, it doesn't here at all.

Gosh Louise, you are so brave washing the sky! It has turned out so well and highly recognisable as one of yours.

Thank you Petra, Robert and Margaret :) It was heavy paper Margaret so it survived the wash off. It looked a bit dead before. The extra colour at the top and the pinkish wash has revived it I think. Not brave, more a question of what to paint next and that no harm in trying feeling. If you ever wash off watercolour and the paper buckles, dampen the back and leave it sandwiched between two sheets of clean paper under a pile of heavy books. Once dried, that should get rid of any wrinkles but you probably know this already :)

I love this style of yours, Louise, with its interesting shapes and vibrant colours.

Love it :)
