Brilliant piece Louise so well conceptualized

A really original piece and such great spontaneity Louise.

Great sketch,

Like this Louise, complete with the race track out the window. Lol

I don't drive, so this is a familiar view to me; I shall follow the tip about hiding behind the driver so I can't see the speedo ... you've caught the rather claustrophobic experience well.

Thanks Dennis, Michael, Linda, John and Robert. You're probably safer in the front with air bags Robert but as well as having an expression similar to Michael's, I'm a distraction in the front with my foot on the imaginary brake pedal. Pulling such a face isn't good for the skin either..even more wrinkles..lol.

It's a great painting and a great story Louise. Thank you.

Lovely title and painting Louise

Lovely work/sketch Louise

Brilliantly depicted Louise, I'm finding it harder to drive on motorways too.

Thanks Michael, David, Petra and Margaret. We drive to London quite often, three hours at least so a sketch book comes in handy between nodding off :)

Wonderful piece Louise.

Such a different view point. Almost abstract in the plentitude of shapes and colours...like lots Louise.

Many thanks Sandra and Sylvia :)

A superb drawing Louise!! I prefer the back seat too.

Many thanks Satu and Diana. Actually I remember the days when it was fun to go on the motorway and some even went to the service stations for a trip out and a drink! I was but a child then obviously..lol

I don’t care for motorways much either, especially driving on them, you have to think and process information quickly to keep safe. I remember when a gang of us would have a trip up the M1 for breakfast in the early hours, to the thf (trust house forte) after coming out of the nightclub. Happy days! It’s a great view from the backseat Louise.

That was after a drink as well then Fiona..I do remember! There was hardly any traffic though then and the motorway was a novelty. When I think of the things we got up to, I'm surprised we're still here. lol

Lol.... I know. We would drive up to, and over the Humber bridge and back, when it was first built, from Derbyshire! God knows why, it seemed like a good idea......always fit a breakfast in though! Lol Would turn up home at all hours....I would come rolling in and my brother was just off to work!

Really unusual view Louise, I hate motorways too :(

Thanks Carole. I won't drive on them possibly because they were never included in the driving test. Today they're so congested. once driving back from London, admittedly at a busy time just after Christmas, our usual three hour drive took about seven hours. One long jam! lol Fiona. I could tell some tales. Once, many years ago, my boyfriend, now husband, managed to put his car in reverse by mistake and reversed down the cellar steps of a pub. Luckily some lads were at hand to lift us out!!

Great story Louise! 😱🤣

Yes Fiona, I remember those days 😍

Some things in life we never forget Carole. Now I can't remember what we had for dinner last night.. LOL

Down the pub cellar steps????!! And you married him??? Lol 😂 At least you were in the right place for a medicinal brandy ......hiccup. Or had you had too many medicinal brandy’s before the cellar steps incident? You may not remember what you had for tea yesterday Louise, but have you ever put the iron away in the fridge, or better still, have you gone to put a shovel of coal in the pantry instead of in the Rayburn....no? You’ll be alright for a few years yet then. X

LOL Fiona. I don't remember!!

Lol! Is there no hope for us......

Very imaginative and well executed. Something I have to admit to not being good at...back street driver that is.

I'm not sure if I've posted this before but after seeing Michaels's wonderful 'Front seat passenger, I was reminded of this one! It's from a sketch done in the back of the car on the motorway. I hate motorway driving and always sit in the back behind the driver so I can't see the speed we're travelling at..lol
