Many thanks Dennis, John and Sylvia. I wanted to go back to the 'patchwork' type of painting that I used to do but without the fields etc. I shall try another using stronger colours and hopefully a city feel after I've tried out your idea John!

Your paintings are very different and they incorporate such a lot of work. This is super Louise, can you visualise how it's going to turn out at the start or do you sort of make it up as you go along? I think it's very clever anyway.

I seem to make them up as I go along Margaret. I've just realised that the horizonal curve features quite a lot in these paintings. Also I use a little masking fluid for the outlines and then invariably paint over it :)
