It is full of interesting things! Makes me think a bit of David Hockney and his California road.

I saw this and thought brilliant! As Shirley has said, lots of interest and of course I really like bright colours.

Louise this is fabulous, one of my favourite styles of yours, I love 'em.

Many thanks Shirley, Gudrun and Carole. I'm not sure if I have the patience to work in this style again Carole. It would feel a bit like going backwards. This was originally titled 'road through the village' (most of my old paintings include the 'village' word as I'm hopeless with titles!) The road here was almost black so I washed it out yesterday and added more detail. It looks better for it. I have another that could do with reworking so if the paper's strong enough to take the punishment I'll try reworking that one today if it's not too hot :)

Interesting, lovely and vibrant. Well done.

Just love this, Louise, great design and lively colours.

I like this very vibrant and full of "stuff"!!!

Not that I don't like your new work, Louise, but those earlier paintings are so special and typically 'Louise' to me. Fantastic! But as you say: one must evolve and not go backwards if you don't feel good doing it. I also often rework older paintings to adapt them to my 'today'feeling.

Lovely to see this Louise, eye catching, colourful and full of interest. Love it!

Thank you Henry, Jenny, Donna, Mia and Christine. I might try a 'patchwork village' type one again Mia and see what happens. Well, more to see if I can do it really ..Lovely to hear from you Christine. Haven't seen your work here for some time. Hope you're well.

Lovely vibrant work Louise.

Very intricate work in places Louise, tremendous result without doubt, but on balance I still prefer your later works.

Thanks Stephen and that's a relief Alan..thank you!

Hi Louise, Nice to know I've been missed! I opened an Etsy shop at the beginning of April selling fabric project bags for knitter's and it's been keeping me very busy with little time for my other interests. I will be back though one day and I do keep up with what's posted on the gallery. You can find my shop at woolrichcrafts.com if you want to have a gander!

I've just taken a look Christine and your craft bags are absolutely beautiful. You are a very talented and creative lady!

The design is spot on Louise but that's you. It is an interesting subject to view.

Lovely design work in this with all the different elements and such a lot to look at. Stunning.

These landscapes are wonderful Louise. Always my favourites in your Gallery. The strong colours that sing together so well and the Louise pinch of magic on top. :) Give it a title, it deserves one :)

It's a stunning piece, Louise! So much to look at, every corner seems to tell a story. I love the richness of the palette and the layers and depth of the piece. An oldie, but definitely a goldie!

Thank you Derek, Val, Sarah and Seok!

A wonderful reminder of a previous style of work Louise which highlights your skill with creation and colour.

Very well reworked, Louise, beautiful colours and lovely style.

Many thanks Fiona and Cesare. I have quite a few older ones with bridges Fiona..oops, sorry to mention!

So have I!!lol

Watercolour 33 cm x 26 cm. This is an older painting of mine which I was never happy with. I found it when I was having a sort out and decided to try and improve things. I spent rather a long time on it today, possibly too long, but now I can look at with without that nagging doubt!
