Strong and almost ghostly feel to this one, Louise. It has been pared down to the bone and is an object lesson in simplification. You do like to push the boundaries of your work and this painting definitely does that as you have bravely gone for just the main shapes using strong colours and shadows. Works for me.

I would echo very much what Thea has said. The simplicity and the handling of the paint is lovely.

Lovely watercolour, great colours Louise

The subject for me is really the colours and the brush strokes. I love these new paintings that you are doing because the simplicity of the streets showcases your wonderful brush work.

It's all been said much better than I could have expressed it! I haven't had my coffee yet.

Many thanks Thea, David, Petra, Joseph and Gudrun.

I like it, even if the colours are a bit thicker than your usual, but it's interesting anyway.

You have caught the run down feel of modern Tibet street, I can remember when it was a smart shopping street, that's progress for you!

Thanks Stephen. I also remember all the busy pet shops down Tib street. All the tortoises piled up in the shop windows!

There's that gorgeous pinky-red again Louise. Like the dry-brush marks too.

Lovely work, Louise - love the strong contrast of colors, it makes the painting very lively.
