I especally love the addition of the trees, Louise - organic shapes that break up the architectural features. Very clever, and extremely effective!

I wonder if this is the 'Manchester of the future' Looks great to me!

Beautiful colour as always.

This is good, like the glass building, the trees add a finishing touch, great.

This really caught my eye Louise - love it

This is my favourite of your latest series of paintings. Great colours and shapes.

The addition of the trees is inspirational Louise and is that the phantom figure, with a rather strange gait, putting in an appearance on the left hand side beside the pink building?

LOL Christine..no, or rather could be (even two?)! Thank you Seok, Stephen, Lesley, Carole, Lynne, Gudrun and Christine for all your kind, encouraging words. I couldn't leave this as it was as it felt lacking in any excitement or life to me. This reworked version feels right now!

It's all been said, Louise, love the shapes and colours.

Thank you Marjorie. I'm actually happy that I tried this abstract and after such encouraging words will probably paint some more now. One thing tends to lead to another I find!

This is much stronger and makes a bolder statement. I think it is the cleaner lines against the very dark sky, with the line of trees marching into the distance, which makes the image much more powerful. I see the mysterious 'figure' has appeared again - I can see this becoming your artistic signature, lol!

I have enjoyed watching this series of paintings develop Louise! It is a lesson in stripping down a scene to its basic shapes but then you add a bit of your usual fairy dust and that makes it magical! This is elegant! Love it!

This is a beauty Louise! I liked the first one very much but this is even better with the darker shadows and the added trees. The colour of the night sky is fantastic, the shapes more interesting and our phantom figure is just visible behind the pilar. Great work!

Super bold shapes and colours!

Many thanks Thea, Sarah, Satu and Debs.
