Seeing the odd glimpse of Manchester in clips from the Labour Party Conference on the TV news recently was like being in one of your paintings Louise! Love the shapes and angles in this one.

This is lovely Louise! I do like your lighter tones in this one! As with Christine, I find that if I see a part of Manchester on TV or in a photo it brings me back to your paintings, especially the red colour of the local buildings :)

Lovely composition and great colours Louise

Like the constructional lines in this = another good advert for your city.

I love the right side of this painting, especially the police car and trees, which are wonderful, and I like the central section of white towers. However, I just have a nagging feeling that the colour composition looks a bit unbalanced and I think I would have liked to have seen some colour on the section of the white tower on the left (from the innermost lamp post outwards), so that the tone is more in balance with the darker buildings on the right. I know this sounds a bit complicated, but it is just my gut reaction. However, I know that I am probably just nit picking and this is a great painting done with your usual aplomb and skill.

On the sunny side of the street! Good work Louise!

Thank you all very much and thank you Thea for your thoughts on this one.

Well worked painting ,definately sunny and crisp.

Lovely composition and use of colours. Definitely a sunny autumn day.

Another lovely piece, Louise. Different atmosphere but as eloquently captured as your line and wash.

Thank you David, Gudrun and Seok.
