Yes, I like these colours a lot too Louise! I have never been to Manchester but through your eyes I have seen a lot. I admire your persistence for sketching these scenes every day and the way you always find new moods and colours for them. Thank you also for supporting me with my struggle, it means a lot.

Thank you very much Sarah, Debs, Christine, Satu and Mia... Mia, I'm going through one of those painting every day phases at the moment which will probably end soon I know from past experience. Also, a sketch like this doesn't take that long and now I have a good idea of the scene, I plan to do an abstract version. What drives us all on I just don't know!

Yet another winner Louise., I also like the pen work on this one, The reds in the centre give life amongst the blues and greys. I personally prefer your more literal work to the abstract but that's just me!

Many thanks Thea, Avril, Dympna and Stephen for you kind, encouraging comments. Stephen, I think most prefer recognisable scenes that they can relate to and say, 'I've been there' but the thing is, for me, these types of paintings are easy and as you've probably noticed, I rather like to try different things out. The more abstract ones I'm finding to be a bit of a struggle to get just right. I just have to prove to myself that I can do it..somewhere in between the two styles would be good..there I go again..LOL
