Night canal

Great bold colors. Like the inky blue sky, and the touches of green to balance the bright red.

Love those red buildings against the night sky and canal and the way the water has an eerie depth to it.

Fabulously vibrant and full of energy. Love it.

So bold, so rich, so Louise - and it's increasing my yearning to go back and try acrylic abstracts after a long gap !! Okay I know this a watercolour but.....!

Oo la la, I like this a lot. It's funny how you leave a subject for a while and then return to it with a freshness. Your windows seem to be a little more graphic (very straight) which I think works really well. In fact there is quite a lot that I like about this painting so I won't go on :-)

I also like the bold use of colour here Louise. Has a feel of Liam Spencer's work.

Bold, vivid and rich in colour. Also bold in the shapes and the composition. You are so much braver than me in your use of watercolour - I can but look on in envy.

We're in Hundertwasser's psychedelic dream-world here - or is it Munch's expressionist Oslo? Or is it Louise's entirely original visual imagination? Yes, the latter.
