Old Trafford

Come on you reds! Very topical Louise. I'm a Bolton Wanderers supporter myself and that's not easy. Brilliant painting!

I have just got back onto the Gallery after its hick-up and what do I see; a vibrant and lively ,colourful sketch full of energy.

This is so full of life, Louise. I agree 100% with Christine and Gudrun: well done!

Many thanks Christine, Gudrun and Mia. The three grey figures on the left is actually a statue, well a rough idea of the statue, which is outside the ground and called 'the united trinity'. Also, the large face with tie is a banner, not actually a large face...LOL..I didn't find the scene easy to paint!

Wonderful feeling of a football crowd, with their supporter's jerseys on, jostling to get the best position. I love the stand with it's variety of colour and the superstructure of the stadium just seen in the top of the painting. A lovely snapshot of football mania, beautifully captured in your inimitable style.

You'll have to do a Man City one now LOL I'm not into football but my extended family have supported MC for as long as I can remember. If it turns out like this it will be a gud un :)

Thanks Val. I'm not really in to football either but pass Old Trafford when driving in to Manchester. Not easy on match days! Thanks also Joseph. I virtually re did the lettering and added to the figures on this one which looks better now. I'm now painting another one of the same scene and started off with the lettering this time as you suggested. So far so good!
