Rob Brown 03 Sep 2013 21:28 Love it!

Robert Jones 03 Sep 2013 21:53 How on earth did you do this? Is that mask actually painted, or affixed to the painting..... or what? However you've done it, it's very effective.

Lin Goodwin 03 Sep 2013 22:39 Thanks Rob Nope Robert It is just a 2D painting with Gouache and a touch of watercolour where I didn't have the right gouache colour. The gouache is painted very dilute in glazes. It took me a LONG time to do the mask eye details. About an hour per inch lol.

karyl Quigley 04 Sep 2013 08:24 This is just beautiful, lots of detail, and a lot of work.

SYLVIA EVANS 04 Sep 2013 08:55 oh what patience, oh what detail.

Dawn Broughton 04 Sep 2013 09:26 Great detail in this mask. Beautifully done.

Beverley James 04 Sep 2013 19:53 Really like this Lin - the gold lips are really well painted and are quite stunning. Both your mask paintings are beautiful

Sarah Bottjer 05 Sep 2013 18:33 Pretty spectacular! I'm looking forward to see the rest of this series

Carole Swingler 08 Sep 2013 16:34 Really like this, good colours and I like the golds.

Lin Goodwin 08 Sep 2013 20:32 Thanks all. I haven't used any gold metallic or fancy paint, just plain gouache. Sarah, i'm working on the next one right now ;)

Stunning work Lin as everyone had previously said, this is amazing Lin

GOUACHE Masquerade I Gouache Hahnemule QTR Imp size I plan to do a series and was going to wait until I'd done them all......I haven't even got a proper title sorted for them all yet. Please forgive me if you have seen this work before. I have made a new portfolio and am moving some pieces into it. This is why I'm doing it in the early hours so as not to inconvenience other uploaders. Thanks for your understanding. I will also copy over any comments.
