'Seattle Skyline' Textured watercolour paper 10" x 13" Heavy Body Acrylics Impasto & Texture Gels Palette of primaries plus black and white for lightening I wanted to do something so unusual for me. I usually concentrate on a form of representational realism but I wanted to have a play and do something slightly different. I wanted to experiment with an expressionist feel as well as with materials so I included texture gels which I applied in varying depths into the geometric shapes that form teh buildings. I also used grtted and course and smooth gels. It took me a long time to draw out the building outlines which I went over with black liner. Then I layered various gels. I used coarse gritted texture gel for the water and went over with layers and washes.Done for WC WDE 16 Mar 12 hosted by Valri Alexander Ary
