The Little Pink Shop
Coloure Pencils on A3 Winsor & Newton Cartridge Paper. Whilst on a break to Tewksbury last year I spotted this quaint little shop on the hight street. My companion had gone to take some bags to the car leaving me parked up at a coffee shop. I didn't have a sketchbook on me and it was quite busy with school children constantly walking by. Fortunately I had my camera to hand with a zoom. I took several photos. It was an overcast day so I tried to brighten it up when I painted it. I had to play with the crop and this is the best composition i could get to show the crooked nature of the buildings in the street. From the many photos I used these 2 people who were looking as if they were going to go in. I loved how he was checking out the fishing rods while she looke at the furniture.
