Thank you for this demonstration Maureen, i appreciate it very much & will certainly take on board what you have said & will give it a go, i am alway's open too suggestions & yours is most welcome. I felt that darkening the forground would lose the sunny effect of the painting, now you have explained it too me in detail i will certainly give it a try. Many thanks for your expert advice. Max.

This is for Max - Note the lighter picture, the boat is difficult to see as the colours in the foreground (water), are weak. I photoshopped in more colour and inserted the boat from the 1st picture. See how the stronger colours make the boat stand out better. Just trying to help. As I tell my students, you have to be brave and have a go. I remember the first time I did it. I was positive that I was going to ruin the painting but it turned out to be beautiful. I still have it and would never sell it.
