Good camera, can smell the lavender .

Mmmm lavender. As a child we had a large lavender bush in the garden. I used to collect the lavender heads and dry them. Then my mum and I made little cotton bags to put thrm in and tied them with ribbon. They were used in drawers and wardrobes...to keep clothes smelling sweet and keep away moths. I tried some lavender biscotti last week (Italian) so yummy. You can even add lavender flowers to shortbread...plenty of recipes on the Internet. Looks a beautiful garden, love that fresh, lush green. ! Best regars ~ Anni Morris

Yes, I agree, a good camera, and your picture is nicely composed. Anni's lavender biscotti is news to me, it sounds delicious. Are you going to try it? This looks like the clump I had which one of my cats loved to roll in! They say that a bunch of it indoors will deter the flies, but it didn't work for me.

Thanks Carole, Anni & Ruth. We always have Lavender about the house, In cupboards, drawers and a little basket in the bathroom. It's good to have some by the bed as it's perfume is a relaxant and promotes restful sleep. There is a bag in the airing cupboard which keeps the towels and bedding nicely perfumed and the small cupboard in the kitchen which is warmed by the gas boiler where I keep my tea towels etc. The biscotti is new to me, going to look it up shortly.

Thank you Maureen for the update on the silver plant it looks gorgeous, lavender is one plant we don't have in our garden we will have to remedy that soon.

Taken with my new camera to identify the 'Silver Plant', as named by Max. The Lavender was buzzing with bees in the warm sunshine so I thought I'd snap it.
