Great reflections in the harbour and interesting texture on the boats which shows us the weatherbeaten effects on these N. Sea craft.

Thanks James. I really love our working boats and enjoyed using my palette knife on this. I was trying to do just that! I hope that the rest of this series of boats turns out well. I am still battling with my sketches, but keeping at it.

Like your boats Jo-Anne the sea looks glassy calm - lovely. Just the 2nd boat from the right - I think your reflection may be slightly out?

Sorry Carole I rarely head for perfection; just fun! Glad you like it. It is my third palette knife painting. I was told that it is also due for inclusion in a magazine in a few months too. Lucky me!

Nearly forgot... I hope to be posting a few more boat paintings soon if you are interested. I am just a bit swamped at the mo. Here's hoping that I don't go down with ma ship!!! J

I love your Boat painting Jo-Anne, I find it very refreshing and peaceful. Well done.

Thanks Bill. I really enjoyed painting this one. There is a short video of it being completed on my website at www.ja-clarke.com if you are interested. I only have a couple on there at the moment, and the only painting that I can get done right now is the woodwork in the house! arghhhh!

VERY ENJOYABLE PAINTINGS

Really nice painting. Sharp and punchy colours. Great reflections.

This painting was inspired by the working boats that are found all around the British coastline in our lovely little ports. Oil on canvas, 100cm x 50cm
