My aim with this painting was to depict the sheer explosion of energy, dust, splashes and movement, created by the migration of wildebeest. I loved how the dust silhouetted their bodies in the distance and used lost and found edges to portray this. Africa never disappoints for subject matter and I felt that DS Quinacridone Gold was the perfect choice for the African sun. Moonglow and Tiger’s Eye Genuine was my other colours.
