Love the texture you have created Liezel, combined with expressive brush stokes and good composition has produced a lovely painting.

This is a watercolour and acrylic ink painting on a prepared textured surface. I glued some dried hydrangea petals onto my paper and then painted gesso all over. I also used some other materials to make different marks in the gesso so that when I paint over this, it would contribute to the abstract foreground foilage. I really like the surprise of the types of marks achieved with these methods.
