Oh well - obviously not successful with Patchings - have heard nothing so will have to try another competition. Have added a bit more depth to this picture by adding more glazes - maybe I will succeed second time around!!

This painting (1m20 x 78cm) was a huge challenge for me and my very first competition entry (Patchings 2012 - wish me luck). There is nothing quite like staring at a blank canvas that size knowing that it is just waiting to be filled. I have done the picture before in Pastel but a lot smaller. It has taken me around 2 months to do as I had to fit it in around the rest of my life and other pictures that were going to earn me some money. It is done now and I only managed to finish it on the last entry date. My first seascape in oil so there were loads of learning curves involved here!!!
