Well done Libby. I can see why you sold this one! The boots are so realistic. I'm glad you enjoyed doing it so much and the end result shows it.

THanks Barry - glad you liked it - I enjoyed it so much I am thinking about doing it again but this time in Oil - I'm sure it could work out quite well.

These boots are wonderful Libby, not very waterproof by the looks lol. Wonderful detail.

THanks Hazel - no not waterproof at all!!! My friend loved the eaten away effect she was getting by leaving them out to the mercy of the elements - goodness only knows what they look like now - probably dust!! I enjoyed the mouldy bits on them but was pleased that I could take photos and not have them in my house while I was busy with the picture!!

Its such a good drawing well done for selling it!!:)Linda

A great drawing Libby.

A lovely drawing - the boots have lots of character. I too, like your friend, have old boots in my garden - several pairs actually. They were all planted with rock plants until some nasty bugs came along and ate the roots! I am not surprised your sold this drawing. Well done!

Despite their battered exterior, I think these boots are loved. It's a great picture.

These boots were made for walking and that's just what they did! A superb drawing. I also love doing things like this; they are so full of the character of the wearer.

Wow - thank you all so much for your comments - really appreciated. Really makes it all worthwhile.

This picture was, for me, the best fun ever!!! I used pastel, charcoal and graphite pencil in this - it took a while to do but so enjoyed watching it evolve. A friend had these old boots in her garden as some would have garden gnomes so just had to take the photo. Sold this one which was a great result!!
