Great portrait. To me you must have been feeling sad for him when you painted it as I get a feeling of sadness in his eyes.

Thank you all for your comments, they really do help with the confidence thing. Val, I often wonder if this little dog actually knew that, when I took this photo, he was not long for this world. Such an awful ending for the poor little thing. Ah well, if I can bring someone a little bit of happiness then it makes it all worth it!

This picture was, again, done for a friend in SA - Barry was a much loved pet and unfortunately died tragically (a very large alsation was responsible). Not the best of circumstances but it made her feel a bit better.
